This large text, a $95 value, included in the cost of the inspection, contains over 400 pages of reference text and diagrams detailing and explaining every major system of the house. The report refers to specific pages, sections, and diagrams in the text so the client will have a life long record of the information specific to the inspected home.
As an added value,  The Home Reference Book also contains life span and replacement cost charts, a filing system for important records related to the home, maintenance tips and records, and an abundance of other information of relevance and interest to the home owner..
Another option for the client is what, for simplicity, we'll call a narrative report. This report format was originally developed for our distant clients, i.e., those clients from the US, Europe, and other distant areas from our office, who are not able to attend the inspection. This particular format is completed in our office and then emailed to the client as a PDF file.
Although the information contained within the narrative report has the same coverage as the highlighted information in The Home Reference Book, the presentation is somewhat different. Instead of the check sheet /short comment style with
references used in The Home Reference Book, the narrative form details the information when noted and may also includes appropriate photographs of the actual property, for illustration or clarification purposes. This style of report varies in length from approximately 45 to 65 pages, depending on our findings and the explanations required. Clients may choose either format.

Our Report

Each inspection includes a detailed report, consisting of one of two types. When clients are able to attend the inspection, at the end of the inspection we provide a full report included in a large binder format text, called  The Home Reference Book
What is covered in a typical home inspection?
Following the CAHPI standards, the focus of the inspection can be broken primarily into 9 parts.
